Job Description
Senior Structural Design Engineer to help lead their structural design team. This role offers a unique blend of responsibility and flexibility, focusing on both structural design work and management. Beyond technical expertise, the Lead Engineer will play a crucial role in project development.
Responsibilities
- Serves as the division head to clients, consultants, contractors, and associated project representatives
- Guarantees seamless project delivery under strict deadlines
- Manages and delivers all milestones through a project life cycle
- Prepares and executes document specifications for all project types
- Guides and encourages the development of junior-level team members as the organization continues to expand
Requirements
- Must be a Florida-licensed professional engineer
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, master’s degree preferred
- 10+ years in structural design, drafting, and detailing for a wide range of project types
- Expertise working onsite and conforming to drawings, specifications, and plans
- Strong familiarity with local code requirements and associated governing agencies
- Superior written and verbal communication skills with colleagues and clients of all levels
- Excellent planning, organization, and detail orientation skills
- Experience working with contractors, time frame management, and industry-applied methods Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETABS, SAFE, Bently, and RISA3D, or similar FEA software
